Two mountains with a brisk drive in between? Hadn’t done that trick in awhile. But it was totally worth it. Superlative views on a clear day. What’s not to like?

AMC high huts are closed, and the White Mountain hiker shuttle is similarly grounded for the season. But other options for trampers remain.
North Uncanoonuc Mountain is the higher of the two, but nonetheless, offers great views, and a quick, kid-friendly trail.
