Hiking Wildcat is odd, in that it should feel harder than it is. And yet, it’s a fine day out. Even in the snow.
“Which one should I do first?” is a common question when hiking the 4,000 footers, and indeed, it’s the question that got me started writing this blog…

The Osceolas are at once a relatively short hike, but very steep and strenuous. Yet they have some of the best views in the Whites.

Approx 10 miles. 35 dF at trailhead, 45 dF at the summit, 42 dF at the car. Sunny, with some clouds. Modest wind, approx 10-15 MPH. Trailhead: 1200. Summit: 1500. Car: 1715.
