Worthwhile mileage doesn’t mean hard miles. Often the best is nearby, and relatively untrodden. If you’re not paying attention, you might just find something.

Powder Mill Pond is slow, with lots of little nooks to explore. On a sunny day, it’s a cool way to get outside and have some fun.
The fun part of posting any kind of media about my hikes, is that I have a fantastic vehicle to go back and recall the day.
Mt Watatic is the southern terminus of the Wapack trail. Great views abound, on a family friendly hike.
I’ve been trying to play catch-up with video footage I’ve collected on past hikes. The most recent? Mt Cabot, in March of 2019. The fun part of all of this is that I’m re-living past hikes. As I write this, the afternoon’s weather was quite warm and pleasant — the kind where you open the windows and let in some fresh air.
